Modmyi bytafont download

Changing a font has a significant affect on device UI and changes are visible on the homescreen, lockscreen, Safari, iBooks, iMessage, menus, keyboard and many other parts. BytaFont 2 has been released with full support for iOS 7 and is compatible with all versions. You can get it for free from the ModMyi repository.

That new section is where you will find all of the fonts that can be used to replace the stock iOS system fonts, so you might want to have a poke around that particular category on Cydia at some point. The Tweak Mode is also the reason behind support for Cydget being dropped, so if you want to customize your Lock Screen, then Tweak Mode is where you will need to do it from now on.

As a jumping off point, we are sure you will be able to find something to get you going, but expect additional fonts to turn up in due course. BytaFont is worth downloading for anyone who likes to change the way iOS looks, and is often a prerequisite for other tweaks available in Cydia. Both ModMyi and BigBoss rarely suffer from extended downtime, so it's weird to see them both suffering from similar outages back to back like this.

Talk about bad timing. Just after I posted about how jailbreaking was relatively safe, here comes news of a trojan that slipped through ModMyi's review process. The tweak in question, Lock Saver Free, is a tweak that we featured in our new tweaks of the week video last night.

Lock Saver Free was published by developer dmarinov, and is unfortunately still available for download on ModMyi as of this post. It's the same story with almost every jailbreak. The new jailbreak is released, and folks rush to download all of their favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks.

The result is a less than primed experience due to the stress that this places on Cydia and the repos hosting the various packages. After a new jailbreak is released, it usually takes a few days for everything to calm down to somewhat normal levels. This time around, though, Saurik, and the repo managers appear to be taking preemptive actions to ensure a smoother experience immediately post jailbreak release. While nothing is assured until the inevitable deluge of user requests places stress on the system, you should look forward to a much better experience than in times past.

Two new jailbreak tweaks have recently appeared in Cydia by the same developer, and they both happen to focus on Notification Center.

Specifically, these tweaks aim to add handy shortcuts to the Notification Center pull-down pane. There are other tweaks and apps that perform flashlight functions, but I always find it useful to have it within Notification Center, or directly on the Lock screen. The second tweak, like the first, is a shortcut for Notification Center. Instead of interacting with the iPhone's LED flash, InstaSnap is a tweak that allows you to quickly access the camera from within Instagram.
